A Chinese-localized fork of Keyviz, a free open-source desktop tool that visualizes keyboard presses and mouse actions in real time on screen. Built with Tauri, it offers customizable styling, key filtering, input history, and positioning for tutorials and presentations.
Use cases
- show keystrokes during a tutorial recording
- display keyboard shortcuts on screen while presenting
- visualize mouse clicks and scrolling for screen sharing
- show keypress history during live demos
- overlay a customizable key display for screencasts
When to choose
- you need a free, open-source keystroke visualizer on Windows, macOS, or Linux (X11)
- you want a Chinese-localized interface
- you need fine-grained control over appearance, filtering, and placement of the key overlay
When to avoid
- you need Wayland support on Linux (only X11 is supported)
- you prefer the original upstream version or English UI
- you need keystroke logging or analytics rather than on-screen visualization
