YTLitePlus is a tweaked YouTube client for iOS bundling YouTube Plus (YTLite) with tweaks like iSponsorBlock, background playback, ad removal, 4K unlock, and Return YouTube Dislike. The project is deprecated and unmaintained because the underlying YTPlus tweak became paid.
Use cases
- watch YouTube on iPhone without ads
- play YouTube videos in background on iOS
- skip sponsor segments in YouTube videos
- restore dislike counts on YouTube
- unlock 2K/4K video quality on iOS YouTube
- customize YouTube navigation and tab bars on iPhone
- install a modified YouTube ipa via AltStore or SideStore
When to choose
- you want a prebuilt ad-free YouTube experience on a jailbroken or sideloaded iOS device
- you need SponsorBlock, background playback, and quality unlocks bundled in one tweak
When to avoid
- you want maintained software with updates and support
- you are unwilling to sideload or jailbreak
- you prefer not to depend on a paid upstream tweak (YTPlus)
