Work Review is a local-first desktop application that automatically tracks which apps you used, websites you visited, window titles, usage time, and optional screenshots into a reviewable timeline. It generates daily reports and lets you ask questions about your own work history, with all data stored locally and AI features optional.
Use cases
- track how much time I spend in each app and website each day
- generate a daily work report automatically
- recall what I was working on earlier today
- ask an AI what I did today based on my activity history
- keep a private work log without uploading data to any server
- review my focus and productivity trends over the past week
When to choose
- you want a privacy-first, fully local time tracker with no cloud upload
- you need automatic daily reports from your actual app and browser usage
- you want to query your own work history with optional AI assistance
When to avoid
- you need team-wide employee monitoring or centralized time data
- you want cloud sync across devices
- you need a lightweight background-only tracker without a dashboard UI
