Legcord is a free, open-source custom Discord client that wraps the official Discord web app in an optimized Electron shell with built-in client mods (Vencord, Equicord, Shelter), theming support, and tracker blocking. It works on Windows, macOS, and Linux including AArch64 devices, with experimental support for Linux phones.
Use cases
- use Discord on ARM Linux devices not supported by the official client
- install Discord client mods and themes without injectors
- block Discord trackers for a more private chat experience
- get rich presence game activity in a lightweight Discord client
- reduce Discord's CPU and RAM usage on older hardware
- customize Discord with BetterDiscord themes and transparency effects
When to choose
- you want a lightweight, moddable Discord client with themes and plugins built in
- you're on AArch64 Linux or ARM Windows where the official Discord client is unavailable
- you care about privacy and want tracker blocking out of the box
- you want rich presence support without extra setup
When to avoid
- you need strict Discord ToS compliance, since using custom clients technically violates it
- you require official support or guaranteed account safety
- you want a mobile Discord client on iOS or Android
- you prefer the vanilla official experience without mods
