A Python library and collection of scripts providing an unofficial Instagram API wrapper with bot features like auto-follow, auto-like, and commenting. The project is no longer maintained and its README now only advertises third-party API services.
Use cases
- automate following and unfollowing on Instagram
- auto-like posts from target accounts or hashtags
- write scripts that post comments via Instagram's private API
- build a Python wrapper around Instagram endpoints
- grow an Instagram account with automated engagement
When to choose
- you need a Python wrapper for Instagram's unofficial API and accept the maintenance risk
- you want ready-made scripts for automated Instagram engagement
When to avoid
- you need a maintained, supported tool - the project is abandoned and Instagram frequently breaks unofficial clients
- you cannot risk account bans from automation
- you need official API compliance or Terms of Service safety
