Green Resources Manager is a free, all-in-one local multimedia resource manager for 'data hoarder' users, built with Electron and Vue 3. It unifies management of games, manga, novels, music, videos, and websites with built-in players/readers, rich filtering, usage tracking, and gamified features like achievements and a desktop pet.
Use cases
- manage a 10TB+ personal collection of games, manga, and videos in one interface
- organize and tag downloaded media files locally
- launch Flash games and track playtime like Steam
- auto-extract password-protected archives with a common password library
- track manga reading progress and video watch history
- make cataloging a hoarded media library fun with achievements and a desktop pet
When to choose
- you hoard large local collections of games, comics, novels, music, or videos and need unified management
- you want built-in readers/players and playtime/progress tracking without separate tools
- you're on Windows and want a free, gamified local media organizer
When to avoid
- you need a cross-platform or Linux/macOS-first solution (it targets Windows)
- you need commercial use - the license is PolyForm Noncommercial
- you want a lightweight, minimal cataloging tool without gamification extras
