## What it is
A Jupyter kernel that lets users run Wolfram Language (Mathematica) code inside Jupyter notebooks. It connects the Wolfram Engine to Jupyter via the ZMQ kernel protocol and is configured either through wolframscript or a Wolfram Language paclet.

## Use cases
- run wolfram language in jupyter notebooks
- use mathematica kernel in jupyter
- interactive wolfram language notebook
- add wolfram engine to jupyter kernelspec
- evaluate symbolic math in jupyter
- wolfram language alternative to mathematica notebook frontend

## When to choose
- you already use Jupyter and want Wolfram Language evaluation with rich notebook output
- you have a Mathematica or Wolfram Engine license and prefer the Jupyter interface
- you want to mix Wolfram Language with other Jupyter kernels in one workflow

## When to avoid
- you don't have a Wolfram Engine, Wolfram Desktop, or Mathematica installation
- you need the full Mathematica notebook frontend features like dynamic interactive manipulations
- you need actively developed features - the latest release dates to late 2023
