## What it is
HashiCorp Waypoint is a Go-based tool that lets developers define their application build, deploy, and release lifecycle as code, with out-of-the-box support for platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, Azure Container Instances, and Google Cloud Run. The open-source Community Edition is no longer actively maintained, as HashiCorp has shifted focus to the hosted HCP Waypoint internal developer platform.
