## What it is
Open-source USB-C industrial camera project with interchangeable C-mount lens and MIPI sensor, containing PCB designs, Lattice Crosslink NX FPGA firmware (Verilog MIPI CSI receiver and ISP pipeline), and Cypress FX3 USB 3.0 controller firmware. It supports up to 4 MIPI lanes at 900Mbps per lane, auto-detects RAW10/12/14 pixel widths, and streams UVC video over USB 3.0.

## Use cases
- build an open-source industrial camera with interchangeable lens
- receive and decode MIPI CSI-2 sensor streams in an FPGA
- stream high-resolution RAW camera video over USB 3.0 as UVC
- implement a debayer/ISP pipeline in Verilog
- port a MIPI CSI receiver design to Xilinx or other FPGAs
- design a USB-C camera PCB with Cypress FX3 controller

## When to choose
- you need a fully open hardware and firmware reference for a MIPI/USB3 camera
- you want vendor-neutral Verilog you can port across FPGA vendors
- you need configurable RAW bit depth, lane count, and pixel-per-clock pipeline parameters

## When to avoid
- you need a finished plug-and-play commercial camera product
- you have no FPGA development experience or hardware
- you require vendor-specific IP blocks or closed-source tooling support
