## What it is
Talkyard is an open-source (AGPL-3.0), self-hosted community discussion platform that combines forum topics, question-and-answer threads, basic chat channels, idea voting, and embeddable blog comments in one web application. It blends features familiar from StackOverflow, Slack, Discourse, Reddit, and Disqus, and runs on a Linux server with Docker, using React on the client and Scala/Play, PostgreSQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch on the server.
