## What it is
Ralph TUI is an AI Agent Loop Orchestrator delivered as a terminal UI (TUI) that runs AI coding agents like Claude Code, OpenCode, and Factory Droid autonomously through task lists. It connects agents to task trackers (prd. or Beads), cycling through selecting tasks, building prompts from Handlebars templates, executing agents, and detecting completion until the backlog is done.

## Use cases
- run AI coding agents autonomously through a task list
- orchestrate Claude Code or OpenCode to complete tasks one by one
- generate a PRD and break it into atomic tasks with AI
- automate the select-prompt-execute-evaluate loop for coding agents
- work through a backlog of coding tasks without manual prompting
- turn a product requirements document into dependency-aware tasks

## When to choose
- you want an autonomous loop that feeds tasks to AI coding CLIs like Claude Code, OpenCode, or Factory Droid
- you prefer a terminal UI with real-time agent output and full visibility
- you want AI-assisted PRD creation and dependency-aware task breakdown
- you use prd. or Beads as your task tracker and want zero-friction JSON mode

## When to avoid
- you need a GUI or web-based agent orchestration dashboard
- your workflow relies on agents or task trackers not supported by Ralph's plugin system
- you want fully unattended CI-style execution rather than an interactive terminal session
- you don't use Bun or don't want a Node/Bun-based toolchain
