## What it is
Rakshasa is a cross-platform multi-level proxy and intranet tunneling tool written in Go. It forms a network of nodes that forward TCP traffic between any two nodes, supporting socks5 and http proxies with TLS plus AES encryption and external proxy pool rotation.

## Use cases
- chain multiple proxies to route traffic through several nodes
- tunnel into an internal network from outside
- run a socks5 or http proxy on a remote machine
- rotate outbound IPs using external http/socks5 proxy pools
- get a remote shell on a controlled node
- connect Windows and Linux servers into an encrypted node mesh

## When to choose
- you need multi-hop proxy chains across your own servers
- you want encrypted node-to-node communication with TLS and AES
- you need a lightweight Go binary that runs on Windows and Linux
- you want both proxying and remote shell control in one tool

## When to avoid
- you need a mature, widely audited tunneling solution like WireGuard or frp
- you only need simple port forwarding without multi-level proxying
- you require a GUI or managed service rather than a CLI tool
- the project's dual-use nature conflicts with your compliance requirements
