## What it is
A certified Matter controller server exposing a WebSocket API built on the official Matter (CHIP) SDK, originally created to power Home Assistant's Matter integration. It has been superseded by the matterjs-server rewrite, with version 8.1.2 being the final release of this Python implementation.
