## What it is
KindleEar is a self-hostable Python web application that aggregates RSS/ATOM/JSON feeds and web content (including Calibre recipes) into epub/mobi/mp3 files and delivers them to Kindle and other e-readers on a schedule. It also offers an e-ink-optimized online reader, AI article summaries, bilingual translation, text-to-speech, and a browser extension for creating scraping recipes without code.

## Use cases
- push rss feeds to my kindle daily
- convert web articles to epub and send to e-reader
- run a self-hosted rss-to-kindle service
- use calibre recipes to scrape news sites into ebooks
- read aggregated articles online on an e-ink device
- get ai summaries of daily news feeds
- turn news articles into audio with text-to-speech
- scrape any website to my kindle without coding

## When to avoid
- you only need a plain RSS reader without ebook delivery
- you cannot deploy or maintain a Python web application on a hosting platform or VPS
