## What it is
A zero-configuration command-line tool that uploads static websites to IPFS pinning services and optionally updates DNS records via DNSLink. It is an old (2022) proof of concept that is community-maintained and in need of a dedicated maintainer.

## Use cases
- deploy a static site to ipfs
- publish my website to ipfs pinning service
- update dnslink dns record after ipfs upload
- deploy gatsby site to ipfs
- host a static website on the decentralized web
- upload a folder to ipfs from the command line

## When to choose
- you want a one-command deployment of a static site to IPFS with automatic DNSLink updates
- you prefer a zero-config CLI that works with public pinning services out of the box
- you are experimenting with decentralized website hosting

## When to avoid
- you need a production-grade, actively maintained deployment tool
- you need a stable programmatic API (the API is unstable and subject to change)
- you deploy to traditional hosting like Netlify or Vercel rather than IPFS
- you need guaranteed long-term support, as the project is a proof of concept seeking a maintainer
