## What it is
Humanizer is an agent skill (a Markdown instruction file) that rewrites AI-generated text so it reads like human writing, based on 35 patterns from Wikipedia's 'Signs of AI writing'. It works with any AI agent that supports skills, such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, and preserves factual content while optionally matching a writer's voice.

## Use cases
- humanize AI-generated text so it doesn't sound like ChatGPT
- rewrite AI-sounding prose in markdown docs without touching code or frontmatter
- make AI-written articles pass Wikipedia's signs of AI writing checks
- match my personal writing style when rewriting AI drafts
- clean up launch posts and blog drafts written by an LLM

## When to choose
- you use a skills-capable AI agent like Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex and frequently publish AI-drafted prose
- you need factual details preserved exactly while removing AI writing tells
- you want a lightweight, MIT-licensed prompt-based tool with no runtime dependencies

## When to avoid
- you need a standalone CLI or API that works without an AI agent
- you want guaranteed evasion of AI detectors rather than stylistic cleanup
- your text is primarily code or data rather than prose
