## What it is
Easy-GPU-PV is a PowerShell-based tool that automates setting up Hyper-V virtual machines with GPU paravirtualization (GPU-PV) on Windows. It creates a VM, installs Windows automatically, and partitions the host GPU to assign it to the VM with the required driver files.

## Use cases
- run a Windows VM with GPU acceleration on Hyper-V
- partition my GPU across multiple Hyper-V VMs
- automate creating a GPU-enabled Windows VM
- play games or use GPU apps inside a Hyper-V VM
- set up GPU-PV without manual driver copying
- give a Windows Sandbox-style VM access to my NVIDIA or Intel GPU

## When to choose
- you need GPU acceleration inside Hyper-V VMs on Windows Pro/Enterprise/Education
- you have a supported desktop GPU (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel integrated) with hardware encoding
- you want an automated, scriptable setup instead of manual GPU-PV configuration
- you can match Windows versions between host and VM

## When to avoid
- you are on Windows 11 Home without Hyper-V (use the successor App Sandbox instead)
- you have a laptop with NVIDIA Optimus GPU
- you need a maintained GUI-driven solution (project is being replaced by App Sandbox)
- you need Linux guests or non-Hyper-V hypervisors like VMware or VirtualBox
