# prateek147/DVIA-v2

Damn Vulnerable iOS App (DVIA) is an iOS application that is damn vulnerable. Its main goal is to provide a platform to mobile security enthusiasts/professionals or students to test their iOS penetration testing skills in a legal environment. This project is developed and maintained by @prateekg147. The vulnerabilities and solutions covered in this app are tested up to iOS 11. The current version is writen in Swift and has the following vulnerabilities.

## What it is
Damn Vulnerable iOS App (DVIA-v2) is a deliberately vulnerable iOS application written in Swift for practicing iOS penetration testing. It covers vulnerabilities like jailbreak detection bypass, local data storage flaws, runtime manipulation, and broken cryptography in a legal training environment.

## Use cases
- practice ios penetration testing skills
- learn ios mobile security vulnerabilities
- train on jailbreak detection bypass techniques
- test runtime manipulation and hooking tools
- practice bypassing touch/face id in a lab
- learn ios reverse engineering and binary patching

## When to choose
- you are learning or teaching iOS security testing
- you need a legal target app for mobile pentest practice
- you want hands-on exercises for iOS vulnerability classes

## When to avoid
- you need a production or secure iOS app
- you target modern iOS versions beyond iOS 11-era techniques
- you want automated security scanning of your own app
