## What it is
Darklang is an integrated functional programming language, editor, and cloud infrastructure for building backends, APIs, and CLIs without separate build, deployment, or infrastructure tooling. This repo contains the new 'dark-next' implementation (language, backend, and infra), which is not yet production-ready, while Darklang-Classic is in maintenance mode.

## Use cases
- build a REST API backend without infrastructure setup
- create scheduled jobs and background workers quickly
- write CLI scripts in a functional language
- prototype CRUD apps with built-in datastore
- receive and inspect webhooks live while coding
- deploy an endpoint to the cloud in seconds

## When to choose
- you want an all-in-one language, editor, and hosting experience with zero config
- you're building small backends, internal tools, bots, or scripts
- you want to contribute to an experimental functional language project

## When to avoid
- you need a production-ready, stable platform today (dark-next is not ready)
- you need fine-grained control over infrastructure, databases, or deployment pipelines
- you rely on mainstream ecosystems, libraries, or tooling like git and CI/CD
