## What it is
Grafana Beyla is an open-source, eBPF-based auto-instrumentation tool that captures RED metrics and trace spans for HTTP/S and gRPC services without any code or configuration changes. It has been donated to CNCF as OpenTelemetry eBPF Instrumentation (OBI), with Beyla continuing as Grafana's distribution.
