## What it is
AltServer-Linux is a Linux port of AltServer that signs and sideloads IPA files onto iOS devices using an Apple ID, and can run as an AltStore daemon. It supports offline anisette data generation and Wi-Fi device refresh via netmuxd.

## Use cases
- install ipa files on iphone from linux
- sideload apps to ios device without windows or mac
- run altserver daemon on linux
- sign ipa with apple id on command line
- refresh sideloaded apps over wi-fi from linux

## When to choose
- you use Linux and want to sideload AltStore or other IPAs to an iPhone or iPad
- you need a headless AltServer daemon or anisette server for automated signing

## When to avoid
- you need a graphical AltStore management interface
- you only work on macOS or Windows where the official AltServer exists
