## What it is
A consolidated DNS-level ad-blocking filter list maintained by AdGuard, composed of several upstream filters (AdGuard Base, Social media, Tracking Protection, Mobile Ads, EasyList, EasyPrivacy) simplified for DNS-based blocking. It is the default filter for AdGuard Home and public AdGuard DNS servers and is distributed as an Adblock-syntax filter file.

- you need browser-level cosmetic filtering or element hiding, which DNS blocking cannot do
- your blocker only supports plain hosts files, since this filter uses Adblock syntax
- you need fine-grained per-site rules better handled by a browser extension
